Sakura
Sadly, the sakura season has almost come to an end. Almost constant rain these last few days has stripped so much blossom off the trees. And sadly, the weather hasn’t been good enough for much Hanami (picnics under the blossoming cherry trees.) The wonderful show is over, but we can look forward to a show of tulips, azaleas, wisteria, peonies nd much more throughout the year.
I have included a few photos from various sakura walks that I have been on; sadly few with our lovely blue Tokyo skies that can provide such a great backdrop.
Confetti-like petals on the pavement, and remedial work on this cherry tree to get it through another season.

simply stunning, one of my very favorite times of the year in Tokyo….loving your welsh wonderings from Sakura to Spam in one easy leap!
So glad to read that the city is beginning to open up again……
Sending lots of love
